2(+) months

How the time flies! I can't believe that its already been 2 months since Wyeth was born, and at the same time, it feels like he's always been here. He's starting to settle into some routines - mornings tend to go fairly smoothly, and then it slowly devolves from there. He fights naps hard in the afternoon, which leads to a cranky, overtired baby in the evening. He does love his baths, though. I can even lay him down (supported, of course) so that he's "floating", and he smiles. Since baths seem to relax him, we now do simple baths every night before bed.

We've had some cooler weather, so we have been able to use the below adorable warm fuzzy suit when I take Wyeth out for walks and runs. He actually starts giggling and smiling when we put him in it - so cute!

We had Wyeth's first Christmas, which the adults enjoyed more than he did, I think. Actually, we ended up having about 5 Christmases for Wyeth! We went up to Jacksonville to celebrate with JD's Mom (and spent some time at the beach where we got this picture):

On the 24th, we went back up to Jacksonville to spend time with JD's Dad, which was a lot of fun. We went out to his companion's family's Christmas Eve dinner & celebration - it reminded me a lot of when Julie and I were young and we'd have all the relatives over for dinner and then Julie and I got to open our presents.

On Christmas, we started our own traditions - a breakfast of cinnamon rolls (gluten free!), followed by a hike, and then a 2nd run movie (Despicable Me 2). We hope to do something outdoors every Christmas - eventually it will be skiing, but we'll have to be more creative until we move back somewhere with snow.

(this is not from our Christmas hike - we've actually taken him hiking several times in the stroller!)

On the 26th, my parents arrived, and we had another celebration with them - although we saved opening stuff for Wyeth until my sister arrived the following day.  It was great having them visit us, and as you can see, Mom got Wyeth to fall asleep. So cute!

My sister got in Friday evening, and we opened Wyeth's presents. So much fun! Baby stuff is so cute, and I love seeing JD get all mushy over the adorable clothes and toys. Let me say that we are so lucky to have such great friends and family - Wyeth is definitely spoiled!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! May 2014 be a wonderful year for everyone!
