Montshire museum, homecoming, pumpkin picking (10/1-10/8)

And, I'm behind again. I've been pretty exhausted recently, so finding the time to keep the home running, work, be a mom, be a wife, PLUS blog has been challenging. I'm feeling a lot less tired the past two days, so trying to get caught up on some things!

After we got back from Oregon, Wyeth and I went to the Montshire on a beautiful October 1. We checked out some of the inside exhibits, but spent most of our time outside.

We also played in the water area - one of the last days that it was running! Note that it wasn't all that warm - Wyeth is wearing fleece pants and snow boots (the boots were a bit of overkill).

  

On Friday, October 6, Wyeth and I participated in the Dartmouth Homecoming parade after going out to dinner with our friends Meg and Mike and their son Alex (6) and daughter Zoe (infant). Wyeth LOVED the parade- especially since we stood on the parade route and he got a TON of candy from everyone before we joined up with my class and walked to the Green. Wyeth was scared of the idea of the bonfire, so we left before they lit it and watched it at home on Facebook. 

Sunday, October 8 we met back up with Meg, Mike, Alex & Zoe for the Cedar Circle Farm Pumpkin Festival. We had a great time - they had lots of activities including worms, tractors, cider pressing, horse drawn carriage rides, and of course, pumpkins!

This ended up NOT being our pumpkin - it had a big rotten spot that was hidden by the mud. Wyeth didn't care at all and picked out the next one that he spotted. 

We also had lunch there, played in the sandbox, and did lots of other activities. It was a great week!
